NAMM 2010 Radar: Gibson Booth

Gibson have announced a lot of new gear in the past few weeks, and I guess they will have some of these exhibited at their NAMM booth. As awesome as they seem to be, I won’t be interested by all the latest Les Paul signature guitars* (i.e. Jimmy Page, Slash,… ) as much as I will be to hear the acoustic guitar they made for Keb Mo.

Keb Mo is not just another bluesman as he often explored some eclectic paths. Yet, I think this Acoustic Blues Master Keb Mo Signature, inspired by the legendary Gibson L series, will totally fit Keb Mo’s modern guitar playing yet deeply rooted in the Delta blues. This Acoustic Blues Master has a small body size, 12 frets clear of the body, and is equipped with a LR Baggs pickup. Unfortunately, it will be available in a limited edition of only 300 guitars. At least I’m lucky to be missing about 3500 bucks to gather the $3,868 USD announced price. That way, I won’t be disappointed at all.

* Well don’t get me wrong… I still will watch all the videos to come that will feature these Les Paul guitars!!
