Gagnez une Guitare William’son Dead Line
La William’son Dead Line est une guitare typée Les Paul avec corps en acajou, manche collé en érable et touche palissandre. L’accastillage est doré et les mécaniques sont des Wilkinson. Elle est équipée de 2 humbuckers contrôlés par 2 volumes, 2 tonalités et sélecteur 3 positions.
J’ai testé la guitare dans l’amplificateur M8 (également mis en jeu sur le blog) et dans le tonelab pour la partie de la vidéo jouée sur un backing track. Tu le noteras, je ne suis pas vraiment ce qu’on peut appeler un métalleux… Alors j’ai fait ce qui me venait. Un rapide tour du propriétaire à la manière de ce que je fais lorsque j’essaie une gratte en magasin… Une poignée de riffs, quelques arpèges, le tout en drop D parce qu’elle appelle le drop D!!
J’ai aimé:
- Prise en main aisée.
- Le manche au profil fin.
- Bonne tenue de l’accord
- Contrairement à ce que son look suggère, c’est une guitare assez polyvalente et non limitée au registre extrême.
- Même si je ne suis pas client de ce type de graphisme, la finition et le rendu sont impeccables et contre toute attente loin d’être trop tape à l’oeil.
J’ai moins aimé:
- L’électronique n’est pas parfaite, et en particulier il y a une petite ronflette continue qui s’entend lorsque le volume est à zéro!
- La finition tête de mort a un effet psychologique bizarre… Même si les cocottes funky passent bien, et qu’un peu de blues ne lui fait pas peur… Et bien rien n’y fait: Tu l’empoignes, tu bourrines! Bon ok ce n’est pas forcément un point négatif!
- Changement de cordes obligatoire pour cause de tirant de fillette monté d’origine! Comme tu peux le constater, la morphologie de mes mains se prête peu aux tirants faibles.
Une bonne guitare qui couvrira les besoins de tout débutant qui voudra jouer du rock… Attention cependant à être sûr de pouvoir assumer ce look. Moi par exemple, elle ne me va pas trop au teint… Par contre je suis sûr qu’elle t’ira parfaitement!

would like to get that guitar, because i dont have money, i dont have one parent, we dont have no money. And i love playing guitar. We have a band in the school, and I’m the solo guitar. I can only play it on friday, and that is the sad part. Im from a small country in Balkan, called Croatia a beatiful country but its all so expensive. I tried every giveaway beacause i really want it because it can be a guitar on which i can practice and maybe get into a better band, maybe it can be my future carieer. Thats my reason for the guitar, btw the guitar is so awesome and it would be nice to have it and play it. Love the finish.

I would love to win this guitar because I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for the past 5 years and I’m finally starting to get a band together and write heavier songs. I need a solid electric guitar to get me started rather than writing hard rock riffs on my acoustic!

So expression is my passion and I consider music to be one of the purest forms of it. I play a few instruments but it’s the guitar that I love best. Nothing more expressive than bending a 15 on your high E-string, right?
Sadly, all my gear is real beginner, secondhand, crappy stuff and it just doesn’t EXPRESS what I want. Yeah, I know a REAL master can make any guitar sing and scream and all that, but you just can’t make a cheap guitar sound as great as one like this. And surely the skull just makes it sound even more epic, right?
Which is why I want to win that guitar. Because I want to be able to have a guitar sing and scream in the most epic way. And with a skull.
I feel lonely… So lonely in this cold world.
Could it be… that there is no one for me?… No one… to warm up this frozen heart?
I did thought so.
That is, until I found the awesome WILLIAM’SON DEAD LINE!!! I thought such a magnificent object was out of my reach, and that an electric guitar would never touch my hands.
But this!
This revives my dead hopes of touching the vibrating aura of an ELECTRIC SIX-STRINGED GUITAR! And that’s just awesome. I wish to have a close contact with this powerful, mythic artefact, so I can learn a lot more about it.
It is my undercovered wish, and it is the reason why I participate in this contest.

Omg that’s a beautiful guitar! I love the colors, and the skull rocks! I didn’t actually notice that at first but wicked cool.
Well, first off my favorite color is blue. And that particular hue is « Tricia blue ». My mother will tell you anytime she sees a color like that, it’s Tricia blue. I love a deep rich sapphire blue, not just plain crayola blue or pastel blue.
Secondly is we moved out from Arizona to Virginia about 6 months ago. Sadly we left most everything back in Arizona in storage. The guitars are not in the air conditioned shed even, they are at my parent’s house to make sure they aren’t damaged. Unfortunately the cost and risk of damage isn’t worth the risk of having Tink shipped out. (I named my guitar Tink because the guitar and Tinkerbell both rock) I also didn’t want to risk damage during the 3 day drive over either. She has since shipped out my keyboard and 1 of the 2 practice guitars. The blue practice guitar didn’t make it out though, so right now there are the 2 of us fighting over who gets to play the 1.
I would love to not have to share. I’ve already chosen a very fitting name for the guitar. Krull. He just looks like a krull, don’t you think?

I think the reason why i will have the possibility of winning is because with such guitar in my possession i can create sweet licks and rhythms, because having one guitar can do millions of possibilities but when you add a second guitar those possibility double by its fold. My interest are in music and learning and expanding my knowledge in the guitar world and universe.
the reason why i think i should win this guitar is so that i may learn how to play from the band that inspires me to play music which is muse, their style of music has me entrant and shows the potential of surpassing limits of music

J’ai toujours pas reçu ma guitare alors je vous conseille de me
la livrer rapidement parceque ça fait peut être 2mois que j’ai pas pris mes médicaments je suis peut être maniaco-dépréssif et alors c’est facile de retrouver votre adresse sur internet. Et là je vais vous livrer des pizzas pendant toute votre vie. Vous allez vivre pizzas, vous allez révez pizzas et manger pizzas une pizzas peut être très dangereuse souvenez vous en on sait jamais sur qui on peut tomber sur internet!!!!!
Vous allez trembler lorsque le pizzzaman sonnera tous les jours , même heure à votre porte etvous demandera si la commande est bien pour vous mais vous ne pourrez plus reculer car sous la chaleur d’une pizza trois médiators vous ne résisterez pas à la tentation(copyright la bible par dieu) et vous allez peut-être devenir finir fou,entre les barreaux voir même vous susisder.

Voilà pourquoi je veux cette guitare :
-J’aime les têtes de mort
-Une forme Les Paul, c’est ce qui se fait de mieux pour jouer a l’archet, et justement je viens de m’en acheter un et j’ai du mal à m’en servir avec ma guitare de type Fender
-Un crâne, c’est chatoyant
-J’aime utiliser des guitares hors de leur contexte, par exemple, une Les Paul avec un crâne dans un groupe de non metal

I can’t say I think I deserve this guitar, but I’m pretty low on cash right now and otherwise couldn’t afford a guitar like this. My Epiphone Les Paul broke last month, and I don’t have another electric to use for my band’s shows. I’ve been using my cousin’s gear for a very long time, and if I were to get a nice guitar like this, I wouldn’t have to get stuff from him every time I play a show. Unfortunately, all cash made with the band has gone towards recording. Getting this guitar would give us a huge boost.
I would really like this guitar because i am a huge guitar lover and this would be my first ever guitar. i don’t have any money to buy a guitar to begin with so i would really love to have this guitar and be able to sharpen my guitar playing skills and learn some new chords without having to borrow my friend’s all the time.

Puis, je me vois très bien dessus. Attention, je n’ai pas dit que je ressemblais à la tête de mort, je voulais simplement dire que je me voyais bien jouer dessus…
Et enfin, j’ai toujours été passionné par la guitare jouée par d’autres, mes débuts m’encouragent à en jouer, cette guitare est un excellent compromis et donc faite pour moi pour des riffs endiablés et des blues émouvants.

Il est excité comme un médiator… d’imaginer de l’avoir entre ses mains.
